Pakistan, KSA agree to boost navies co-op

Islamabad - Pakistan and Saudi Arabia on Wednesday agreed to expand cooperation between the navies of the two countries.
This was agreed at a meeting between Deputy Commander, Royal Saudi Naval Forces, Rear Admiral Ibrahim Nasser Maghlouth, and Secretary Defence Lt. Gen.(Retd) Muhammad Alam Khattak held in Rawalpindi.
They also discussed avenues to expand defence cooperation between the two countries.
The Secretary Defence appreciated Saudi Arabia’s continued participation in Nasim Al-Bahr exercises and highlighted that engagements of such type will help in cementing brotherly relations between the two countries and their navies as well.
During the meeting, he expressed satisfaction over the fruitful cooperation between the two navies and appreciated the growing scope of cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.  Saudi Arabia has participated in AMAN exercises and Pakistan hopes that Saudi Arabia will participate in AMAN-15 as well.
The Saudi official appreciated the skill and expertise of Pakistan Navy. He also supported Pakistan’s endeavour for attaining peace and security in the region. He termed the Pakistan Armed Forces as a highly professional and best training force due to their contribution in the war on terror.
