ISLAMABAD : Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Pervaiz Rashid on Saturday strongly condemned torturing of  photographer Zulfiqar of the Daily Dunya by the station house officer (SHO) Sarwar Road Police Station, Lahore.
The minister, in a statement, said the government believed in freedom of expression and would take all possible steps to create a congenial atmosphere for media persons so that they could perform their duties in a free manner.
He also appreciated Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif for taking immediate action to bring the culprit to book.
