ISLAMABAD - Special Assistant to Prime Minister on National Affairs Irfan Saddiqui Monday said that Pakistan was a nuclear power and no one could dare to cast an evil eye on it.
Pakistan today was stronger than 50 years ago and now it was not easy to defeat it as the entire nation stood behind the armed forces, he said addressing a ceremony arranged by Pakistan Multi-culture Association in The Hague, Netherlands, marking the 50th Defence Day of Pakistan celebrations.
Speaking as chief guest, Irfan Siddiqui said war could not be won by the forces alone rather nation's unity was a must. "When the entire nation stands behind the forces then evey war can be won." "Pakistan is now an atomic power. Now we are manufacturing ammunition and selling the same to other countries. We are also producing fighter aircraft."
Speaking on the occasion, Pakistan's Ambassador to the Netherlands Moazzam Ahmad Khan said Pakistan was created in 1947 but the neighbouring country could not accept this reality and that's why it imposed a war on Pakistan in 1965.
Father Eric also addressed the Pakistani community.
Earlier, Pakistan's national anthem was sung while the President's message was also read in the gathering.
A lot of Pakistani men and women attended the gathering.
