ISLAMABAD – Jehangir Saifullah, prominent business figure and nephew of Senator Salim Saifullah and MNA Hamayon Saifullah, joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on Wednesday.
He announced the decision of joining PTI here at the residence of Chairman PTI Imran Khan. Jehangir Saifullah, who comes from a veteran political family, is son of Javed Saifullah, Chairman Saif Group of Companies.
Addressing on the occasion Imran Khan said the inept and corrupt rulers of the country deliberately kept southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa backward.
Imran said masses were facing the crisis-like situation in the country owing to the decisions of traditional politicians.
Imran said Allah almighty had blessed this country with abundant natural recourses and spilled manpower but the visionless leadership could not utilise it to change the ill fate of the masses. The shenanigans of the elite ruling class had left the masses in a pathetic condition and the country with a lowest GDP and highest inflation rate in the region, he said, adding the power outages and gas load shedding has badly affected the industrial sector.
Imran said industrialists were shifting their industries in neighbouring India and investment has become to a standstill due to the power policies of the government. Imran Khan reiterated his stance of bringing positive change in the country with the help of people of Pakistan.
Earlier, Javed Saifullah briefed the chairman on the overall problems faced by the business community with particular reference to KPK. He also shared his political views about the southern districts of KPK. Imran Khan said he was fully aware of the problems of business community of KPK.
Meanwhile, Ex-IG Malik Muhammad Habib Khan also announced his decision of joining PTI.
He reposed full confidence in the leadership of Imran Khan and said that he was the only leader who could steer the country out of crises.
