Two dead in road mishap; 6 injured in Capital cylinder explosion

ISLAMABAD - Six people were injured when a cylinder exploded in a local hotel here at G-9 Markaz on Tuesday.
“It was a gas cylinder blast which exploded in Lareb Hotel on early Tuesday morning. Six people received multiple injuries and were rushed to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences where they are still under treatment,” a spokesperson of ICT police said. The injured included Qamar Abbasi, Masrur Gul, Ibrar Ahmed, Syed Asif, Abdul Hameed and Mehwish.
The news of cylinder blast spread like jungle fire, which panicked residents of Islamabad. Majority of the residents got the impression that it might be retaliatory attack by the militants who are on the run these days following a military offensive in North Waziristan.
Meanwhile, a car crushed two teenagers to death at Islamabad Express Highway. According to eyewitnesses, an over-speeding car being driven by a lady driver hit hard two teenagers including 13-year-old Junaid and 10-year-old Adnan at Express Highway near Zia Masjid. Junaid died on the spot while Adnan succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital. Registration No of car is LEF-1993.
Shahzad Town police registered an FIR against unknown driver under section 279/320 PPC and started investigations. 
Meanwhile, Islamabad police arrested five outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered stolen car, weapons and stolen property from their possession, a police spokesman said.
According to details, Kohsar police arrested one Pervez and recovered form him a stolen car bearing registration number RLC-901, which was stolen from the area of police station Race Course Lahore.
Bhara Kahu police arrested an accused namely Shah Jahan and recovered 120 grams hashish from him. Ramna police arrested an accused Zamad-ul-Nass and recovered one 30-bore pistol along with ammunition from him. Cases have been registered against these nabbed accused and further investigation is under way from them.
