IHC seeks reply from federation on petition filed by Rao Shakeel against his conviction

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has sought reply from federation on the petition filed by former Director General (DG) Hajj Rao Shakeel against his conviction in Hajj Corruption case.

Chief Justice IHC Muhammad Anwar Kasi took up the case for hearing Thursday.

Advocate Qazi Misbah ul Hassan counsel for the petitioner appeared in the court and told that ends of justice were not met in the decision given by trial court. The case against Rao Shakeel is not proved from statement of any witness. It seems as if case has been registered against his client on malafide intent and political basis. Court should meet the ends of justice.

He prayed the court to set aside trial court decision and issue orders for releasing Rao Shakeel.
