Stolen vehicles recovered; two fraudsters held

Islamabad - Motorway police in a prompt action have arrested two culprits who were pretending themselves as members of a sensitive organisation.
According to details, Khuram Shazad, resident of Islamabad, approached an officer of Motorway Police Shahid Akbar near Tarnol area and informed him that two persons, boarding a white Nissan Car ANR-993, introduced themselves as members of a sensitive organisation and forced him to sit in the car. After covering some distance, they threw him out of the car and snatched mobile and Rs 5000, he further told the officer.
The motorway police officer informed the base, which communicated the messages to all patrolling units of the area. After a while, the officers stopped the said car and apprehended alleged criminals near Tarnol railway crossing and recovered the snatched belongings of Khuram Shazad. The two culprits Rai Bilal Mahmood and Muhammad Sajjad along with the car were handed over to Tarnol police for further investigation. The initial investigation revealed that the said criminals were wanted in many other cases, where they pretended themselves as members of a sensitive organisation.
Meanwhile, motorway police recovered a stolen van having registration number LE-6883 near Tarnol Service Area (M1) and a car having registration number LF-0957 near Burhan interchange. The recovered vehicles were handed over to concerned police stations.
