ISLAMABAD - Rescue 15 Friday hosted a farewell party in honour of outgoing SSP Syed Kaleem Imam who was now working as Chief Security Officer to the prime minister. Acting SSP Dr Moeen Masood, AIG (Special Branch) Tahir Aalam, SP (HQ) Meer Waiz Niaz, SP (East) Kamran Adil, SP (SSG) Saqib Sultan, ASP Dr Shehzad Asif, in charge of Rescue 15, all SDPOs, SHOs, Rafiudeen, president of citizens liaison committee and other notables attended the party. The SSP, Dr Moeen Masood, while speaking on the occasion, paid glowing tributes to the outgoing SSP Kaleem and said that the service rendered by the former SSP would be long remembered by the ICT police. Dr. Moeen Masood said the way former SSP guided, motivated and encouraged the police officials were highly praise worthy. Syed Kaleem Imam bridged the gap between public and police and launched various welfare projects for the uplift of police officials. He said important projects initiated by him that included construction of mosque at Rescue 15, crane service, activation of help line with the computer service, obtaining 06 sophisticated vehicles from a security company for police patrolling, upgrading the Forensic Lab in Rescue 15 setting up cyber crime unit at rescue 15, construction of building of Rescue 15. Issuance of annual ICT Police calendar and dairies, setting up library at Rescue 15, setting up gym clubs at Police Stations for the physical fitness of police officials, appointment of civilian human right officers at police stations. He also activated public conciliatory committees for reconciliation of petty disputes. Former SSP Syed Kaleem Imam and Pervaz Rathor had the credit and honour of serving as SSP Islamabad twice and they served honestly and devotedly. Credit went to former SSP Islamabad Nasir Khan Durrani now working as DIG Police Rawalpindi for launching Rescue 15 in Islamabad and the performance of this service was further improved and activated during the tenure of these SSPs of Islamabad. President Rafiuddin speaking on this occasion said that the former SSP Syed Kaleem Imam maintained peace and order during a very tense situation and tackled the situation by adopting effective strategy. Syed Kaleem Imam Chief Security Officer, speaking on the occasion said what I achieved was the result of team work and ICT Police always extended me full cooperation in discharge of my duties and credit for delivering the good goes to the ICT Police. I always gave importance and preference keeping liaison with the citizens to bridge the gap between public and police. He praised the performance of incharge Rescue 15 Mussarrat Ali Khan for making it a fruitful and successful service for the citizen. Chief Security Officer Syed Kaleem Imam was also awarded shields by the acting SSP Dr. Moeen Masood and president citizen liaison committee.
