CDA undertakes parks maintenance

Islamabad - Capital Development Authority (CDA) has deployed machinery and number of staff for maintenance and renovation of public parks in the federal capital.
“We are committed to providing healthy atmosphere to the citizens visiting various parks of the capital,” an official of the civic body told APP.
The CDA is utilising all resources to beautify the capital city, the official added.
He said on the directives of the Chairman Maroof Afzal, environment wing of the authority has started removal of wild bushes and grass grown as a result of recent monsoon rain. The special teams have started work on war footing and are busy removing wild bushes and grass, particularly from green belts, medians, different marakiz and residential areas of the federal capital.
The chairman CDA has also directed to finalise arrangements for monsoon tree plantation drive, saying more species of fruit and flowery plants in addition to ever green plants would be introduced in order to enhance the natural beauty of Islamabad.
