Threat of water shortage in twin cities averted

RAWALPINDI - Threat of water shortage in the twin cities, despite lack of rains, has been diverted, according to WASA officials.
MD WASA Shaukat Mehmood told that despite low water in all three dams which supply water to the twin cities, Simly Rawal and Khanpur Dam, enough water exists to cater to the requirement of the residents of the twin cities during the winter season.  Further more according to met office prediction, enough rain fall during the month of December would fill the three dams with water so that additional water would be conserved. According to MD WASA, WASA is supplying the city with water through all of its tube wells, which are fully functional. He further claimed that heavy showers would be very beneficial for three dams while no acute shortage of water would hit twin cities in upcoming year.
