Four suspects held in operation

Islamabad - The police along with personnel of law enforcement agencies have carried out a search operation in the limits of Police Station (PS) Aabpara, a police spokesman informed on Saturday.

During the search operation, police arrested four suspected persons besides recovering two motorcycles, two repeaters of 12-bore with 24 cartridges and 174 bottles of liquor, he added. The search operation was conducted following the instructions of Inspector General of Police (IGP), Tariq Masood Yasin and SSP (Operations) Sajid Kiyani to flush out the suspects and terrorists from the city.

According to him, the Islamabad police along with other LEAs conducted a door-to-door search operation at G7/2, Christian Colony and other surrounding areas and checked 100 houses.

He said the LEAs also questioned 200 persons and compiled their data. Police also held four people during search operation and shifted them to police station where cases were filed against them. IGP Tariq Masood Yasin told media men that the police and other LEAs have been carrying out search operations in federal capital on daily basis in order to implement National Action Plan (NAP).
