RAWALPINDI - Persistent suspension in supply of water to the thickly populated areas of Dhok Kala Khan, Shamsabad, Sadiqabad and surrounding areas have evoked strong protest among the residents.
The children and women continue to roam in search of water but they have to return homes with sheer disappointment as water is supplied for two hours after every four days from the water supply scheme of the area, said a group of house wives. “Water tanker owners have unleashed loot and plunder spree. They sell out a water tanker at the price of Rs 600 and 700 which is out of our reach, said a guard of a private school. The residents have demanded of the concerned authorities to ensure smooth supply of water otherwise they will be constrained to hold protest rallies.
