Child artists show talent at GSIS exhibition

ISLAMABAD - The annual Thematic Art and Craft Exhibition by primary branch of Global System of Integrated Studies (GSIS) School & College was held here on Saturday.
Principal GSIS Qurat-ul-Ain Ali Rizvi inaugurated the exhibition having theme: "unveiling colours with recycling." She said, "Exhibition is the outcome of parents' support as well as joint efforts of students and teachers. It gives all of us a message that nothing is waste and useless in this world."
Students of grade 1-4 using their creative minds, hands and hearts with the help of teachers made eye-catching and stunning projects, which were beautifully displayed at the main entrance, hall and classrooms. During the whole year, waste material like newspapers, empty tissue boxes, jars, bottles, sacks, cartons, juice boxes, tins, bottle lids and last but not the least colourful sequences are used in individual and collective projects.
Projects with blue, green, red, yellow and white colour schemes included pencil holders, jewellery boxes, photo frames, wall clocks, dustbins, paper bags, toy cars, handbags, bookshelves, wall hangings, pin holders, table mats, candle stands and dry arrangements.
Parents in a large number visited the daylong exhibition and admired the collective efforts of students and teachers and appreciated school's co-curricular activities because at the end of the day these activities enhance the students' confidence.
