Roots celebrates silver jubilee & graduation ceremony

ISLAMABAD – The Roots School System DHA1 Flagship campus Islamabad celebrated it’s silver jubilee and high achievers’ award ceremony together with the students, parents, guests, members of the diplomatic community, social dignitaries of Islamabad & Rawalpindi, corporate society, heads of NGOs, educationists and members of Rotary International.
The chief guests for the ceremony included Javed Laghari, Chairman HEC Pakistan, Chaudhry Qamar Zaman, Federal Secretary of Education & Training and Barrister Feroze Jamal Shah Minister of Overseas Pakistanis, says a press release issued here on Thursday.
Khadija Mushtaq, recipient of Tamgha-Imtiaz and Executive Director of Roots School System, DHA-1 flagship campus, Islamabad and CEO Roots Ivy International Schools, welcomed all the guests.
The proud parents were overjoyed to celebrate the outstanding success and achievements of the graduating students who had worked hard throughout the year to achieve this enormous success.
It was really overwhelming to hear the life altering stories of students like Danish Shabbir belonging to the rural areas of Pakistan who could not dream of studying in a prestigious university like Oxford, Cambridge or top IVY League Universities with 100 per cent scholarship.
Roots students have received a collective scholarship amount of over Rupees 1.725 billion for four years of undergraduate study, which is simply remarkable.
Aun Zaidi, a brilliant A-Level, final year student received admission offer from Cambridge University for its engineering program, he was also awarded university of Cambridge 800 years anniversary scholarship amounting to 1,42,872 pounds and has recently he has received acceptances from five top IVY league universities including Harvard, Yale, Brown, Dartmouth, Columbia and Duke University on 100% scholarship. It is due to the great effort and dedication of Khadija Mushtaq, Executive Director Roots School System DHA1 campus and most accomplished student counselor that completely changed the lives of many deserving individuals and made a mark on the world map.
At the end, Dr. Cyrill Nunn congratulated the graduating class and applauded the tireless efforts of Khadija and the entire staff.
 He said to the students, “You are the future leaders of the world, the future is truly in your hands, so make the best of it.”
It was very overwhelming to see all the students and parents with the phenomenal scholarships due to the outstanding counseling and guidance of Khadija Mushtaq who has been instrumental in turning many dreams into reality with her utmost commitment, dedication and passion for her students.
