SC forms five benches for next week





ISLAMABAD - Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has constituted five benches including a special bench at the principal seat to hear a number of important cases in the next week starting from Monday (August 13).
The first bench is comprised of Chief Justice, Justice Nasirul Mulk and Justice Jawwad S Khawaja, the second bench members included Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani, Justice Mian Saqib Niasr and Justice Sarmad Jalal Osmany,the third bench consists of Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk,Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa and Justice Amir Hani Muslim,the fourth bench comprising Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali,Justice Ijaz Afzal Khan and Justice Gulzar Ahmed, while the fifth bench of Justice Tariq Pervez and Justice Muhammad Ather Saeed.
It is pertinent to mention here that SC would take up several important cases during the next week include case regarding obscene and ‘other objectionable material carried in the media,prevention from extrajudicial killings of innocent persons in the premises of Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa, and the regularization of service of lady health workers.
 and Suo Moto action regarding violation of Public Procurement Rules, 2004 in procurement loss of billions of rupees of exchequer caused by National Insurance Company Ltd. According to cause lists, no application for adjournment through fax will be placed before the Court.
