ISLAMABAD - Pakistan and Australia have agreed to enhance cooperation between the two defence forces in general and the air forces in particular.
The understanding came at a meeting between Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt and Australian Chief of Defence Forces, Air Chief Marshal Mark Binskin in Islamabad on Wednesday.
The Air Chief reiterated that Pakistan is a peace-loving country; however we would defend our territorial integrity against all odds. During the meeting, they discussed matters pertaining to professional interest. Air Chief Marshal Mark Binskin also called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Raheel Sharif. During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, including measures to further enhance defence and security cooperation between both the countries came under discussion. Earlier, on arrival at General Headquarters, a smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Army presented Guard of Honour to the dignitary. Air Chief Marshal Mark Binskin also laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhda.
Nadra set to adopt
foreign posting policy
National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) is all set to adopt a new foreign posting policy 2015 after final approval of the authority’s board. Besides this, the authority has also introduced a new centralized ‘Online Testing System’ for selection and confirmation of its employees.
These steps are one of the measures taken by the new Chairman NADRA Usman Mobin after taking charge of the organization, says a press release issued by NADRA.
A new biometric attendance system has also been introduced across NADRA and salaries of employees will be paid to employees based on biometric attendance. Upon the chairman’s directives, transparent and merit-based new foreign posting policy 2015 has been formulated and will be presented to the board meeting for final approval.
