Supreme Court restores Kurd as MNA

ISLAMABAD - A three-member bench of the Supreme Court, headed by Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani, Wednesday reinstated Humayun Aziz Kurd as MNA. Athar Minhallah, the counsel for Aziz Kurd, appeared before the court.  The Quetta Election Tribunal disqualified the MNA from Balochistan and ordered re-election on NA-267. The tribunal passed the order on an election petition filed by PML-Q leader and member of Balochistan Assembly Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind.
Mir Humayun Kurd, who won the NA seat as an independent candidate and later joined the PPP, challenged the tribunal verdict in the Supreme Court, which restored his membership.
