ISLAMABAD - The US Embassy and British High Commissioner to Pakistan Adam Thomson have said their countries support democracy and rule of law in Pakistan.
According to private TV channels, the US Embassy said in a statement on Wednesday that the Washington supported the supremacy of law and constitution and democracy in Pakistan.
“The NRO ruling and memo scandal are Pakistan’s internal matters and that US doesn’t want to interfere in its internal issues. According to TV report, British High Commissioner Adam Thomson said his country wanted strong democracy in Pakistan and that the UK had no stance on memo issue. The British high commissioner said doing politics in Pakistan was not their job and hoped that all parties would ill abide by the country’s constitution.
