Rawalpindi - The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) recovered 392-kg heroin from a marble factory, the biggest drug bust ever in Rawalpindi, informed ANF spokesman Sami Ullah Khan yesterday. According to him, ANF during successful intelligence-led operation seized 329-kg heroin, which was the biggest drug bust ever in Rawalpindi. He said that ANF team raided the factory and seized 329-kg heroin concealed in godown of the factory. The heroin was stuffed in polythene packets, each weighing 820 grams. During operation, ANF arrested 5 persons and impounded two vehicles including a Honda Civic and Suzuki Mehran. According to initial information, most of the products of the factory were being exported to China, he said. He added that ANF during other operations against drug mafia seized 122-kg narcotics. The value of the drugs was told to be Rs 2.1 billion in international market, he said. Some 11 smugglers were also arrested against whom cases were also registered and further investigation was under way, he informed.
