Op against encroachment conducted in F-10

Islamabad - The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has been continuing with its anti-encroachment campaign indiscriminately and with full zeal.
On the directions of the chairman CDA, the enforcement directorate of the authority on Friday carried out an operation along southern service road in sector F-10/2 and F-10/3 and removed illegally established lawns, gardens, parking places, playgrounds and sheds in front of different houses.
The lawns, gardens, parking places, playgrounds and sheds etc had been established by encroaching CDA land illegally.
The operation was carried out against houses # 214, 211-A, 211-B, 210, 218, 219, 226, 531, 527, 525, 523, 522, 522-A and 520 and staff of enforcement directorate by utilising heavy machinery demolished illegally established facilities and retrieved CDA land from the illegal occupants.
Moreover, these houses were being used for commercial purpose categorised as nonconforming use and building control section of the authority will conduct an operation according to prevailing rules of the authority.
Member Administration CDA, Amer Ali Ahmed has directed deputy director general enforcement to take strict action to vacate green belts from the encroachers so that the green character of Islamabad could further be enhanced.
Earlier, Chairman CDA Maroof Afzal had directed to continue the anti-encroachment operation on daily basis without any fear or favour and until the complete elimination of encroachments from the city so that Islamabad could further be beautified on modern lines.
