Ulema ask terrorists to desist from subversive activities on Eid Milad

ISLAMABAD - Over 100 clerics and scholars hailing from Sunni Ulema Board on Sunday asked terrorists to desist from subversive activities on the auspicious occasion of Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH).
In a joint statement, they said Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) gives the message of tolerance and peace. Terrorists should surrender on the occasion of Eid Miladun Nabi and start a new era of peace and prosperity in the country, they added.
They said killing in the name of religion was against the teachings of Islam. Due to subversive activities against innocent people, the new generation was going away from the religion, they added.
They observed that the power of argument should be used instead of the barrel.
The Ulema, who gave the statement, included Mufti Ghafran Mehmood Sialvi, Qazi Saeed ur Rehman, Mufti Liaquat Ali Rizvi, Allama Mujahid Abdul Rasool Khan, Mufti Muhammad Arif Chishti, Pir Waseem ul Hassan Naqvi and others.
