rawalpindi - A Chinese student was killed while his fellow sustained critical injuries after being hit by a train near the Islamic International University Islamabad (IIUI) on yesterday.
The deceased and the injured were rushed to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) where they identified as Ma Shoi-E (Arabic name Bahuddin) and injured as Maose. However, doctors referred the injured to Ali Medical Centre for surgery.
According to Hafiz Abid Masood, spokesman for IIUI, both the students were going back to their flat on a motorcycle (ASL-126) after finishing their classes when they were hit by Margalla Express (108-Down).
As a result, he said, Ma Shoi-E died on the spot whereas Maose got injured critically. The ambulance service of CDA was called in which rushed the victims to PIMS, Hafiz informed. “Doctors are conducting external post-mortem of deceased and has referred Maose to Ali Medical Centre because of his critical condition. There, doctors will conduct his surgery to save his life,” the spokesman said. On a query, Hafiz replied that both the Chinese were students of MA Usuluddin (equal lent to MA Islamic Studies).
