‘Plots allotment to Bheka Syedan affectees starts’

ISLAMABAD – The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has started allotting plots to the affectees of Bheka Syedan after the approval of the board, said Chairperson of Senate’s Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat and Capital Administration and Development, Senator Kalsoom Parveen.
According to sources, 42 affectees, who have been struggling to get their right for last 21 years, have been issued the allotment letters in this regard and rest of the affectees would get the allotment letters soon. The senator said this during a meeting with a delegation of affectees of Bheka Syedan in the parliament lodges the other day.
On the occasion, she said that the standing committee was aiming at giving the affectees their rights as soon as possible. The CDA had started their all out efforts to resolve the problems of the affectees under the directives of the standing committee, she said, adding, but some elements were creating problems were for the civic authority, for example 53,000 acre land of the CDA was under illegal occupation, she added.
“We are trying our best to cope with the hurdles,” she said, adding the land grabbers have been served notices to vacate the land.
but as a reaction, the land grabbers were trying to defame the CDA and misguide the affectees. “We shall solve the issues of Bheka Syedan at any cost,” she said.
