Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Wednesday, reprimanded over missing of 11 persons from Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi, and remarked that no one would be punished without any crime.
A three-member special bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard the case of 11 “missing persons of Adiala Jail.”
The Attorney General, Munir A Malik apprised the court that it is a matter of jurisdiction whether the court can proceed any case regarding FATA or not. He sought more time from the court to acquire information from the Defence Ministry regarding trials of missing persons.
The court asked in which crimes they are being trialed? However, the AG failed to satisfy the court and sought more time regarding reply.
Later the court adjourned the case till 20th November.
