Islamabad - Islamabad police remained clueless about the whereabouts of former Afghan Governor Syed Fazalullah Wahidi who was abducted from sector F-7/2 of the federal capital on Friday last.
Police Station Kohsar officials registered a kidnapping case under section 365/34 PPC on the complaint of Syed Zabiullah, the nephew of the missing governor. The case was lodged against the unknown kidnappers on application of nephew of Afghan politician.
In the application, lodged by Syed Zabiullah, it was mentioned that the former governor was going with his grandson near Rana Market when a double cabin vehicle with revolving blue lights and a car intercepted them. Three persons stepped out from the vehicles and dragged Fazalullah into double cabin and sped away. Police while taking action registered a case and started investigation.
Station House Officer (SHO) Kohsar Police Station Malik Bashir, when contacted by The Nation, said that police have lodged a kidnapping case against the unknown abductors and initiated investigation. He said that no clue was found about the whereabouts the governor and police are trying to trace the kidnappers.
Meanwhile, Islamabad police have arrested five outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered a stolen car, 10 litres wine and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said yesterday. He said a Koral Police team nabbed Aamir Shehzad with 10 litres wine while Noon Police recovered a car (BBQ-343) from Nasr Ullah. The car was stolen from the area of Temuria Police Station in Karachi.
Loi Bher Police nabbed Gulfam for having a 30 bore pistol. Tarnol Police nabbed Sohail and Muhammad Yar for decanting gas in cylinders illegally.
Meanwhile, two professional alms-seekers were apprehended.
