Leaders advocate for peace
 
 
 

ISLAMABAD - In their messages, religio–political leaders have stressed the need for stepping up efforts for peace and prosperity in the country.
In an interview‚ the President urged the Ulema to openly spread the message of peace.  He said that elimination of terrorism is an important issue of national security. He said the sacrifices of the army and the nation would not go waste against terrorism.
Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said in his message that Islam is a religion of peace and tolerance and there is no space for extremism, sectarianism and terrorism.
The prime minister congratulated the countrymen on the auspicious event, saying that it was indeed a great blessing of Almighty Allah Who had sent Hazrat Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him) for the guidance of whole humanity.
“That we have sent not thee (O Muhammad) but as a mercy to the whole of humankind, as a mercy to all the world,” the Holy Quran defined the purpose of sending the Holy Prophet (PBUH). 
The prime minister said that this day reminded us to lead our lives according to the teachings of the Holy Prophet (Peace be Upon Him) and the Islamic injunctions.
The Prime Minister said that the day marked the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), who brought with him the Holy Quran which contained a complete code of life with comprehensive guidelines and directions for a successful life. 
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him) was sent as blessing for the whole mankind. “Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) through His character and deeds changed the destiny of the world in a short period of time and gave eternal message of brotherhood, harmony, love and peace to the mankind.”
In a message on Eid Miladun Nabi, the Chief Minister said that life of the Holy Prophet (SAW) is a beacon of light for the mankind and success in this world and the hereafter can be achieved by acting upon His teachings. He said that a welfare society in the real sense can be created by following the principles of Islam.
He said that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) set such examples of forgiveness. He said that the problems being faced by the country can be resolved by acting upon the life of the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon Him). Shahbaz Sharif further said that Eid Miladun Nabi underlines the need of following the teachings of Quran and Sunnah as lawlessness, terrorism and violence can only be controlled by acting upon the principles of Islam. The Chief Minister further said that on the auspicious day of Eid Miladun Nabi, special prayers should be offered for national progress and prosperity while the pledge to work with honesty and commitment will have to be renewed.
KPK CM Pervez Khattak said that the challenges of present era could be better met while implementing the teachings of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in letter and spirit.
“The last sermon of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is guiding principles for whole humanity. The teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is the beacon of light for the whole humanity and we can pull the country out of the present crises by following the guiding principles of the last Prophet(PBUH).”
KPK Governor Engineer Shaukat Ullah Khan has congratulated the countrymen in general and people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA in particular on the 12th of Rabiul Awal; the birthday of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).
In a message on the auspicious occasion of birthday of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), the governor said, "Muslims across the world observe this sacred occasion as Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi. The Birth of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) is a great blessing of Almighty Allah for the entire humanity. His life was a true depiction of Islamic teachings, which is a beacon for his followers. We as Muslims believe that it will continue to be the source of inspiration for humanity forever." 
He said that the teachings of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), covering every aspect of life, stress the believers to seek knowledge and serve the humanity.  "Tolerance and patience are the important messages one can derive from the practical life of our Prophet (PBUH), upon following the teachings of Prophet for taking care of all sects of life and having good relations with neighbours, fellows and family members/relatives can make our lives comfortable," he added.
Leader of Opposition in National Assembly (NA), Syed Khursheed Shah, congratulating Muslims on the auspicious birthday of benefactor of humanity and the last Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) has said there is need to adopt teachings of the Holy Prophet properly to improve lives.
"The Holy Prophet (PBUH) is a source of blessing for the entire humanity and his teachings convey the message of love, tolerance and compassion," Syed Khursheed Shah said in message on the auspicious occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH). He said that that the whole life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is the beacon of guidance and he is no doubt a living representation of the Holy Quran and Islam.
In their messages, the PML-Q leaders congratulated the Ummah. They said that the main reason for all problems and crises was our being away from Islamic teachings, we would have to practically demonstrate along with deep from hearts our love and obedience for the Holy Prophet (PBUH), it is the result of the slogan of His Kalima that our elders had secured this separate country for the Muslims of the sub-continent in a short period. 




They said being Muslims, they should completely sink all regional, grouping, ethnic and national differences to give practical shape to this slogan and bring into full play all our energies to transform Pakistan into an Islamic, democratic and welfare state.
