CDA kicks off drive against tax defaulters

ISLAMABAD – The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has launched crackdown against property tax defaulters.
TO this effect, CDA Revenue directorate has issued 500 notices to government and non-government defaulters while 150 defaulter cases have been sent to senior special Magistrate for resurgence while the revenue directorate would recover two hundred million from these 150 defaulters.
The CDA has also issued notices against shopkeepers, industrialist and local citizens and ordered them to immediate recovery of dues otherwise stern action would be taken against them.
The CDA has recovered 570 million rupees in terms of property tax while 170 million rupees in terms water charges .160 million rupees recovery notice has been issued against IESCO.
