Auction of commercial plots: CDA gets Rs 8.4bn for 15 plots

islamabad - The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has successfully auctioned 15 commercial plots against Rs 8.4 billion in two-day auction process, making it remarkable in the history of CDA.

The auction was held at Jinnah Convention Centre Islamabad on 13th and 14th December, 2016. Plots of worth Rs 3.75 billion were auctioned on the first day while on second day plots of worth Rs 4.650 billion were auctioned.

Commercial plots from various developed sectors of Islamabad were auctioned during the two-day auction. Commercial plots from I-8 Markaz, Diplomatic Enclave, G-11, D-12, F-10 and F-11 were successfully auctioned. Plot no 8, 9 and 4 in I-8 Markaz, plot no 4-A and 14-C in sector G-5, plot no 11, plot no 5-A and plot no 5-B in G-11/3, plot no 6 in F-10 Markaz, plot no 3 in sector F-11/1, plot no 3-J and 3-I in sector D-12/3, plot no 2, plot no 3 and plot no 4-D in sector D-12/4 were successfully auctioned on the second day of auction.

A nine-member committee headed by Member Finance, Dr Fahad Aziz, supervised the auction proceedings. Member (Planning), Asad Kiani, Dy DG (Finance), Fazal-e-Mahbood, Dy DG (L&E), Riaz Ahmed Randhawa, Dy DG(Law), Najma Azhar, Director (UP), Sheikh Ejaz, Director (RP), Zafar Iqbal, Director Public Relations, Mazher Hussain and Director Estate Management-II, Saba Ali  of CDA were members of the committee.

Mayor Islamabad and Chairman, CDA Sheikh Anser Aziz also visited the venue of auction of commercial plots. The auction committee will present its recommendations to CDA board for final approval of the bids received during auction.
