Islamabad High Court (IHC) Wednesday directed the federal government to immediately provide a bullet-proof car to former chief justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.
IHC judge Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui heard the petition pertaining to security of former chief justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Chaudhry that was filed by Advocate Sheikh Ahsanuddin.
In his verdict, Justice Shaukat Siddiqui said the former chief justice should be provided security equivalent to former prime ministers and should be provided a bullet-proof vehicle today.
The order further stated that the former CJP's family will also be entitled to use the secured vehicle.
