ISLAMABAD - Federal Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar on Monday said the government would provide adequate resources for the ongoing military operation in North Waziristan Agency and facilitation of internally displaced persons (IDPs) of the NWA. He said this while talking to Pakistan Army DG (Budget) Maj-Gen Muhammad Tauqeer Ahmed who called on him at the Finance Ministry to discuss the budget-related issues.The brief statement issued by the Finance Ministry said Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar assured the director general of providing adequate resources for the military operation and facilitation of internally displaced persons. He added reimbursements on account of CSF were on track. Dar was of the view that all relief measures for IDPs should be combined to make them effective and efficient.The meeting was also attended by Finance Secretary Dr Waqar Masood, Advisor to the Finance Ministry Rana Assad Amin, Additional Finance Secretary/SA to Finance Minister Shahid Mahmood and senior officials of the ministry.This news was published in The Nation newspaper.
