RCB sets up emergency flood response cell

Rawalpindi - The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) on Tuesday established Flood Emergency Response Cell (FERC) for immediate solution to complaints of the dwellers of cantonment area.
The FERC was established on instructions of RCB Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Faheem Zafar Khan to remove the maladies of people for the rest of monsoon season, the spokesman said.
According to him, FERC was set up to entertain complaints of people residing in cantonment areas in case of rain damages.
The emergency response cell comprises complaint cell, rescue unit, road clearance unit, medical unit, sanitation unit and survey unit.
Four officials of RCB have been deputed by the CEO to help out the victims in case of any emergency. The CEO also assigned the task to Additional CEO Rana Ramiz Shafqat to make this plan successful.
The other team members included Office Secretary Rana Amman Ullah, Assistant Cannt Engineer Shafqat Hameed, Office Superintendent Qaiser Mehmood and other staff, he said.
