'Work on mega projects in June'

ISLAMABAD (Online) - After the relaxation in the ban on release of development funds, the work on mega projects in the Capital would be started in June. Project Director of CDA Mumtaz Hussain, while talking to the agency, informed that these projects, including construction of Zero Point Flyover, expansion of Kashmir Highway and development work in Marghazar. He said that the government imposed the ban on the project costing over Rs. 50 million but relaxed the ban aimed for the completion of the mega projects in the Capital. The Project Director, CDA said that the capital authority would issue the tender for Zero Point Flyover in the current week and the construction work would be started formally in June. The expansion work on the both side of Kashmir Highway would be started soon, he added. Giving information regarding the mega project of Zero Point Flyover, Mumtaz Hussain said that the design of the project has been finalized as well as tenders and other documents. He further stated that the development work in Marghazar would be completed in 5 phases, adding in the first stage, the construction work would cost Rs. 20 million and the tender of this project has been released. The CDA Chairman, Kamran Lashari, does not tolerate any delay in the construction of the mega projects, added the Project Director CDA.
