Two die, 3 injured in road mishaps

RAWALPINDI - A couple died and legs of a little child fractured while two other young boys got injured in separate traffic incidents, police informed.In the first incident that took place near Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Sunday late night, a man namely Amjad Mughal along with his wife Kiran Amjad and son Muneeb, resident of Waris Khan, was going on his Hero CD-70 motorcycle (RIK-6176) when a speedy Corolla XLI car hit their motorcycle. As a result, the couple died on the spot whereas the both legs of Muneeb, the little child, fractured, informed Police Station (PS) Waris Khan officials on Monday. Rescue and police rushed to the scene and started rescue operation shifting the dead bodies and injured child to hospital. A case has been registered against the unknown driver of speedy car while investigation was underway, police added.In the second incident, a coaster of government department collided with a motorcycle with three young boys on board while saving a buffalo came suddenly in the road at Dehgal Village on Adyala Road. Of three, two sustained critically injured and had been shifted to CMH and District Headquarter Hospital (DHQ) for medical treatment, PS Saddar Berooni officials informed.According to Acting Station House Officer (SHO) PS Saddar Berooni Malik Aftab Ahmed, a coaster of a government sensitive department (IDG-2835) was going from Rawalpindi to Khasla, a village of Adyala, when a buffalo suddenly came into the middle of the road near graveyard of Dehgal. The driver of coaster took a turn on the right when it collided with a Honda 125 motorcycle coming from opposite side with 3 boys on board. Resultantly, two of three riders sustained critical injuries and had been shifted to DHQ by Rescue 1122.The injured later ascertained as Ibrahim Ahmed son of Abdul Hameed, aged 20, and Javed son of Pervaiz, aged 20 whereas the third who remained save was Sarmad, aged 17.A police officer, who was assigned the task to interrogate the case, was of view that Ibrahim was referred to CMH by the doctors because of his critical condition. However, Javed was still understatement at DHQ, he added. Till the filing of this report, police was busy in investigation.
