CPO Rawalpindi Wisal Fakhar Sultan Raja taking notice on dereliction of duties by police personnel on Independence-Day has directed to file seven cases against the concerned police officials. According to details CPO Rawalpindi had designed a special plan to avert any untoward incident in the city on the eve of Independence Day under his supervision. Police personnel who were deputed at the checking points in the areas of Adyala, Girja, New Catariyan, Double Road, Pir Widhai, Khanna Pul and Khawaja Corporation were reported to be absence from their duties on the night of August 14. As a result CPO Rawalpindi taking strict action against the deputed police personnel directed to file cases in different police stations of the city. The police officials who were reported to be absence for duties included sub-inspector, ASI and constables.
