PM grieved over loss of lives in Peshawar rains

ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Friday expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious human lives caused by heavy rains in and around Peshawar in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa.
He issued directions to the provincial government for the provision of all possible help and relief to the affectees.
The Prime Minister announced Rs. 300,000 for the heirs of each deceased and Rs 100,000 for each injured person.
Nawaz Sharif also offered every kind of assistance from the federal government to the provincial government in the relief activities.
The Prime Minister also directed the KP Governor to personally ensure the best provision of medical facilities to the injured and keep him updated about the condition of affected people as well as the losses caused by the heavy rains.
