Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has asked the US to respect Pakistans red lines, its national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Talking to US Ambassador to Islamabad Cameron Munter who met him here on Friday, the prime minister said the US must guarantee that the frontiers of the country would be respected in future.
Gilani said it was his primary responsibility to safeguard Pakistans dignity and honour, adding that respect for sovereignty and non-repeat of unilateral action were the very minimum that Pakistan expected.
He urged that close cooperation was maintained between Pakistan and the US to fight against terrorism.
He said Pakistan wanted to work with the US to defeat the menace of terrorism.
