ISLAMABAD (APP) - The Islamabad High Court here Wednesday summoned two officials of the Quaid-i-Azam University to appear on July 20 in connection with alleged victimization of a female student. The single bench of Justice Mohammad Ramzan Chaudhry issued the order on a writ moved by Kiran Shahzadi, a student of MBA department of the university. The bench summoned Dean of the MBA department and Controller Examination. The petitioners counsel apprised the bench that the student was victimised by Amjad Wahid, a teacher of the department, during last paper of Marketing Research in the final semester by levelling allegations she had used unfair means. The same practice was repeated by the same person during comprehensive paper and she was stopped from entering the examination room, he added. He said that she took up the matter with Chairman of the MBA department but received no response. The counsel said the student fears that if her results were withheld on baseless charges, she would not be able to appear in viva to be held in the last week of July. He claimed that the student had brilliant academic record and she was victimized for unknown reasons. The bench expressed its displeasure over the absence of legal advisor of QAU and issued notices to be delivered by special messenger. Meanwhile, another division bench comprising Justice Amjad Iqbal Qureshi and Justice Mohammad Ramzan Chaudhry issued notices to Secretary Ministry of Health and Establishment Division over repatriation issue of its National Programme Manager Hepatitis Control. The bench issued notices on an intra-court appeal filed by Dr Sharif Ahmed Khan through advocate Shoaib Shaheen.
