RIC to be operational soon







RAWALPINDI - The Rawalpindi Insitutute of Cardiology (RIC) will be operational soon after inauguration of its building by Punjab Chief Minister Muhmmad Shahbaz Sharif.
It was decided in the second meeting of Steering Committee of Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology (RIC), held in Holy Family Hospital here on Friday.
The meeting directed the contractor firm to accelerate the pace of work and complete installation of electronic equipment, like air conditioning system and heavy-duty generators.
The meeting was chaired by Chairman Steering Committee/MNA Muhammad Hanif Abbasi along with Commissioner Rawalpindi Imdad Ullah Bosal and Secretary Health Punjab Arif Nadeem.
The meeting was attended by Principal Rawalpindi Medical College and Chief Executive of Allied Hospitals Dr. Mussadaq Khan, MS RIC Dr Shoaib Khan, representatives of WASA, PHA and other departments concerned.
Dr Shoaib Khan briefed the meeting that PHA had completed the designing of green belt and plantation of ornamental and ever green trees and plants in the premises of RIC. The groundwork would be started by the contractor soon.
He said that the demand notices for Sui gas, electricity and telephone connections would be deposited as early as possible. The pace of work would be accelerated to complete the building within the stipulated time fixed by the Steering Committee.
