ISLAMABAD - The Election Commission of (ECP) on Monday announced to conduct by-election on NA-149 Multan II on October 16 that has been vacated by PTI President Javed Hashmi, who resigned from his seat.
According to a statement issued by the ECP, nomination papers can be received on 22nd and 23rd of this month and their scrutiny would be held on the following two days.
Candidates can withdraw their names by 30th of this month and the final list of the candidates would be published next day.
The ECP also announced schedule for bye-election on PP-162 Sheikhupura-1 to be held on September 22. The seat had fallen vacant due to the death of PML-N MPA Muhammad Khurran Gulfam.
