Federal Law Minister Babar Awan told the Senate that 75 posts of judges are vacant in high courts which will be filled after consultation with legal experts. In a written statement, Babar Awan told in the Senate that two judges in the Supreme Court, 36 in Lahore High Court, 22 in Sindh High Court, 9 in Peshawar High Court and 6 posts of judges are vacant in Balochistan High Court. Minister for Human Rights Mumtaz Alim Gilani said that 7,953 case of human rights violation were reported last year.
