ISLAMABAD - Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid on Monday said that all political parties of the country are united against horse-trading in the upcoming Senate election.
Speaking to the media here, the minister labelled Imran Khan biggest hurdle in formation of Judicial Commission, saying the PTI chief was trying to influence Election Tribunals’ decisions. While criticizing Imran Khan, Rashid said that PTI chief is causing delay in courts orders implementations and he should divert his attentions to Khyber PakhtunKhawa rather than criticising the federal government. “Imran Khan always complains about delay in court orders but he himself is causing delay now,” he said.
Rashid said that the PTI chairman moved a fresh application just when the court was about to announce a ruling in a case pertaining to alleged rigging in the 2013 election. He said Imran Khan was demanding verification of thumb impressions despite being aware of the fact that it could not be done as the magnetic ink was of substandard.
Replying to a query, he said the PML-N’s Balochistan chapter was in complete discipline and the candidates for Senate election chosen by provincial president Sanaullah Zehri would be the party’s choice as well. The minister said that PML-N is a disciplined party and its demonstration will also be witnessed on the occasion of Senate elections. Pervaiz Rashid has said that terrorism is not only the issue of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa but it is a national issue and we have to fight out this menace together. Senator Pervaiz Rashid said that the families of the victims of Baldia Town factory fire should get justice as judiciary is independent in Pakistan and the government is ready to facilitate the courts for providing justice. Replying to a question, he said that Pakistani cricket team needs encouragement.
