islamabad - President Mamnoon Hussain has lauded the constructive role and efforts of Turkey for peace and stability in Afghanistan.
The President made these remarks while conferring the award of Nishan-i-Imtiaz (Military) on Admiral Bulent Bostanoglu, Commander of the Turkish Naval Forces here at a special ceremony yesterday. The President decorated Admiral Bulent Bostanoglu, Commander of the Turkish Naval Forces in recognition of his contributions in enhancing strategic cooperation between Pakistan and Turkey.
Later, Admiral Bulent Bostanoglu called on President and discussed with him matters of mutual interest. The President said the people of Pakistan and Turkey are bound together in strong fraternal relations based on shared religious, cultural and historical affinities.
