CCTV cameras could not be installed at railway stations due to dearth of funds

Close Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras could not be installed in railway stations of Islamabad due to dearth of funds. As per details, Ministry of Railway was to install CCTV cameras at railway stations in wake of increasing terrorism activities but the cameras could not be installed due to dearth of funds. The transport facility to take passengers to Islamabad railway station could not been arranged due to which the passengers have to face intense difficulty. It is pertinent to mention here that CCTV cameras have been installed at Karachi, Cantt and Lahore railway stations but the cameras have not yet been installed at Rawalpindi and Islamabad railway stations despite the fact that the railway stations have been declared sensitive.
