The Supreme Court on Wednesday directed for shifting of all the special courts of the country in premises of the respective district courts. A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and comprising Justice Chaudhry Ijaz Ahmed and Justice Jawwad S Khawaja directed that the special courts, which include banking courts, customs courts, narcotics courts, immigration courts, central and provincial courts, should be shifted in premises of the respective district courts within one week. The apex court directed the Law Ministry, Attorney General, Registrars Lahore High Court and Islamabad High Court to send a compliance report about it within one week. The bench passed the order after hearing a bail plea of one Mohammad Shafiq, who was arrested by the Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) with 1.5 kg of heroin from Blue Lines Hotel F-10 Markaz.
