MPs express disquiet over poor management

ISLAMABAD: A parliamentary panel in its meeting on Monday expressed serious disquiet over poor management of medical waste and dysfunctional incinerators in two major hospitals of the federal capital.
The Senate Standing Committee on Cabinet, Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) termed the collection of infectious medical waste, including blood and urine bags, body parts, surgical instruments, injections as well as general housekeeping waste of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) and Federal Government Polyclinic Hospital, and sending it to Morgah, Rawalpindi, for wastage against the healthcare standards and criminal negligence on part of hospital administration. –Staff Reporter
