Former diplomat Seema passes away

Islamabad - Seema Naqvi, a BS-22 officer of the Foreign Service of Pakistan, who was serving in the ministry as special secretary, passed away on December 15.
Seema Naqvi was wife of, Inam-ul-Haq, the former foreign secretary and caretaker foreign minister.
According to Foreign Office the deceased officer was an accomplished diplomat. She joined the Foreign Service of Pakistan in 1980. During her 34 years long career, she held many important assignments. She served as Pakistan’s ambassador to Egypt and additional foreign secretary for Middle East and Africa.
Earlier, she worked at the headquarters as director general (policy planning), director Foreign Service Academy, and project director Sheikh Zaid International School. Naqvi took keen interest in charitable activities. She remained president of Pakistan Foreign Office Women Association (PFOWA).
In that capacity, she supervised various philanthropic endeavours of the organisation with dedication and vigour. She will be remembered by her colleagues as a committed and upright officer.
