ISLAMABAD - The Senate, which resumed on Monday with Deputy Chairman Sabir Baloch, admitted a privilege motion against PTI Chief Imran Khan for his reported remarks against the senators' election.Before the House was prorogued sine die, the Upper House took up the privilege motion signed by as many as twenty-six senators from all parties including the ruling PML-N against Imran Khan. Members from various parliamentary parties criticised the PTI chief for his reported remarks about the election of Senators. Imran Khan has been accused of levelling allegations against the senators, saying they are elected to the Upper house after paying hefty amount. The motion was referred to the House Committee for further consideration.Earlier, the Chair gave a ruling seeking restoration of security withdrawn from the Chairman Senate Syed Nayar Hussain Bukhari. According to the ruling the government has recently withdrawn security provided to the Chairman.Meanwhile, Haji Mohammad Adeel from ANP on a point of order government attention about the poor conditions at parliament lodges. He alleged non-parliamentarians were misusing the facility meant for the parliamentarians. He also alleged that a lock of his door at residential facility at Parliament lodges was broken and some unknown persons had taken away his UPS.This news was published in The Nation newspaper.
