Qadri shows trust in army

ISLAMABAD - No one else but only Pakistan Army remains to be the only respectable institution for Pakistan Awami Tehreek’s Chief Dr Tahirul Qadri who has demanded of the high-ups of army to include their personnel in the joint investigation team to probe the killings in Model Town and Islamabad.
Dr Qadri said that he did not trust police as they were playing in the hands of political government. So he said that there was a need to include members of investigation team from Army, ISI and IB. He asked all the chiefs of these institutions to present names of selected persons from their organisations for joint investigation team.
Qadri said that the killings of his followers in Model Town and Islamabad must be done by a team that will compose of members as he was suggesting. Speaking to his party workers here, he again demanded immediate arrest of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and others nominated in the FIR of killings of the workers.
“The PM who is facing charges must resign,” he said. Expressing anger over the rotten system of the country, the PAT leader said the system would also be hanged along with the PM and CM.
From the day one of his sit-in in the federal capital Qadri has been playing on the Model Town incident where 14 lives were lost in a police shootout. He had accused Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, some provincial ministers, police officials and prime minister for the tragic incident. At the same time he brought a long agenda with him that included resignation of PM, CM Punjab and dissolution of the government.
