ISLAMABAD - Islamabad district authorities issued fresh directives to tight security of the Red Zone on Monday.
“Ensure foolproof security of the Red Zone at any cost. Make sure no one could enter this zone,” Federal Interior Ministry the law enforcement agencies in fresh directives issued Monday following Imran Khan’s decision to enter the Red Zone.
Currently, 21000 personnel of law enforcement agencies including ICT police, Rangers and Elite Force are safeguarding the federal capital.
It is interesting to note here that troops of armed forces have already been deployed in the federal capital especially across the Red Zone, which is home to sensitive buildings including Parliament, Supreme Court and Diplomatic Enclave.
Following Imran Khan’s announcement to march towards the Red Zone, the managers of Islamabad district directed the concerned officials to place extra containers to restrict marchers’ entry to the Red Zone.
Meanwhile, more troops of Rangers were deployed in and around the Diplomatic Enclave to make sure no one could enter it.
“Following the fresh directives, the security of Diplomatic Enclave has been enhanced,” SSP diplomatic security told the media.
