SC dismissed petition against NA standing committee about Farah Dogar case

The Supreme Court (SC) has dismissed the petition against National Assembly's standing committee for education in Farah Dogar case. SC also dismissed the stay order against the committee, which was given by Justice Zawar Hussain. A three-member bench of SC comprised of Justice Faqir Khokar, Justice Javed Butter and Justice Ijaz Hussain. The SC bench headed by Justice Faqir Khokar heard the arguments of Attorney General of Pakistan Latif Khosa, lawyer of Federal Board Agha Tariq and petitioner's lawyer Raja Abdul Rahman. In its remarks, the bench said all institutions must function within constitutional and legal framework. The petition was immature and should be filed in Islamabad High Court before Supreme Court.
